United in Kind coach Jake Mabey has been working for Council for Voluntary Services (CVSU) and local providers on a two-week tour of the district with the Community Drinks With Links Horse Box Café. The aim was to spread the word about services that can be offered through Uttlesford.
Over the two-week period, the Horse Box Café visited 8 different locations and was visited by over 200 local residents! This also provided a great opportunity for the CVSU team to chat with local residents, and find out how they can support their community. Since the visits, a number of positive referrals and community links have been made.
This project could not have gone ahead without the support of many local volunteers. From driving the Horse Box Café, to setting up, making drinks and talking to resident’s, there ongoing support is priceless! Thank you. The Team are now busy planning the Horse Box Cafe’s next adventure around Uttlesford.
