Harlow United in Kind Coach Sarah tells us about Jeff:
“Jeff (60) is a carer for over 20 years. He had given up work to take care of his mother. As time went by, Jeff became isolated from his friends and started losing his confidence and interest in life.
Unfortunately, His mother lost the battle for her life and Jeff started to fall into a depression and started struggling with everyday life.
Jeff was referred to a project run by United in kind where Coach Sarah supported him to slowly build up his confidence at his own pace. Soon he felt ready to start attending a social group as well.
Jeff is now able to attend the social group on his own and feels more relaxed and positive for the future.”
Carers need caring as well. We are happy the Jeff has had help and is able to move on now.
