Epping Forest Re-USE is a Charity & non-profit Social Enterprise that provides reused furniture, appliances and household items to those in need, at low prices.
During the pandemic, the organisation’s showroom and refurbishment operations have been limited; however, this has not stopped Epping Forest Re-USE procuring and delivering white goods and other essential new items to local residents / households in critical need, through the government Assisted Living Scheme, and referrals from local community partners, who support individuals at great risk.
Last week, Epping Forest Re-USE were able to source essential items including a new bed, fridge and microwave and deliver the next day to an unfurnished flat, to support a discharged hospital patient, through a community support scheme run by West Essex Community Action Network (WECAN).
When the pandemic restrictions are lifted, Epping Forest Re-USE are looking forward to re- opening their public showroom, and returning to reconditioning, repairing and safety-testing electrical items, in order to provide affordable goods and prevent them going to landfill.
