Ayesha, United in Kind coach for Epping has been finding out about what activities are currently on offer to local families with young children. Social interaction is equally as important for children and is an important part of their social and emotional development.
While out in the local community, Ayesha, spoke to a number of families who had young children. They expressed a need for information regarding activities they could do in the community. Ayesha started to research what was out there and found a number of free activities run by Epping District Council.
Ayesha encouraged and supported the families to attend a number of these as some of the families were feeling anxious about making new connections. They were a great way to connect socially with other families who attended.
The families now keep in touch, and have created a new social group which they go out regularly and support each other to experience new things.
