WECAN in partnership with Coton Consultancy and Essex County Council are delivering a pilot 9 month “TEC Mates” project across the county

We are pleased to announce the launch of “TEC Mates” – a new initiative across Essex that supports the use and uptake of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) products and services. Our aim is to inform vulnerable people, their friends, family and carers about TEC and its capabilities, and to consider its adoption to prevent them falling into situations where they may require greater support from the social care and health services.

WECAN would like to hear from interested candidates who have an enthusiasm for and an interest in helping others gain the computer skills they need. As an applicant the skills and qualities you will need to be able to display include:

  • Friendliness and approachability
  • Patience
  • An ability to lead by example
  • Conversant with digital equipment and associated software
  • Conversant with social media and apps
  • Be passionate about digital and the benefits it can provide

Our offer

In return we can offer a salary of £16,200 for 30 hours per week. Your base of work will be the Community Hub in Great Dunmow, but working can be split between the office and home by agreement. This is a 9 month fixed term contract.
